Charlotte founded Fundamental fitness and athletics in 2019 after coaching the Reading AC Junior club and wanting to extend the offering to younger children. The mission has been to provide top level coaching to every child to help improve not only their sporting ability but the day-to-day lifestyles as well. As an English school’s finalist in the discus, and 7 time Berkshire county champion, Charlotte specialises in the throwing events, and is a level 2 UKA throws coach. She is also a level 3 personal trainer, offering Strength &Conditioning sessions. She is the head track and field team manager for the Reading AC male teams in the National Premier League, a team that is consistently ranked in the top 6 youth teams in the UK and where British champions in 2017. Charlotte has won England Athletics Young Coach of the year in 2017 and Reading AC coach of the year in 2018.
An international and Olympic sprinter from Sierra Leone, Ibrahim specialises in the sprint and hurdle events. Having competed in an array of international fixtures including the 2012 Olympic games, 2010 Commonwealth Games, 2 World championships, and 5 African Championships, as well as training at the Senegal high performance centre for 2 years on an Olympic Scholarship, Ibrahim knows how to bring a whole new dynamic to the coaching game. He is a level 2 UKA coach and a level 3 personal trainer and runs a range of speed and agility sessions, adult bootcamp and 1 to 1 S&C sessions. Ibrahim is the reigning Berkshire County champion for 100m as well as winning silver in the 200m. He is also part of the Reading AC club record 4x100 team. Ibrahim was Reading AC’s coach of the year in 2023.
A national level decathlete, Joe was ranked 3rd in the country at the end of 2021. He is a South of England combined events champion, English schools finalist and 6 time Berkshire county champion. His strongest events are hurdles, long jump and high jump. Joe leads the multi-event classes based at Palmer Park and is the head track and field team manager for the Reading AC girls team in the national premier league, a team that is consistently ranked in the top 6 youth teams in the UK and where British champions in 2017. Joe is a level 2 UKA coach and is currently studying for a BSc in Human Biology. Joe offers 1 to 1s in S&C and jump events.
Ella is a middle-distance runner that specialises in 800 and 1500m. Ella assists the delivery of the multi-event group sessions as well as providing group endurance sessions. In 2019 Ella was ranked 10th in the country for her age group in the 1 mile as well as being a multiple Berkshire County medallist.
Ella is currently studying A levels including Biology and Physical Education and has obtained her Level 1 coaching qualification.
Moriah is a heptathlete who is the reigning Berkshire schools combined events champion.
She is ranked 12th in the UK for her age group. Moriah’s specialities include high jump, shot put and hurdles where she is a Berkshire County champion for all three.
Moriah coaches’ sessions on our multi-event courses and is currently the female team captain for Reading AC Premier League team.
Kayin is a former heptathlete that now specialises in the 400m hurdles and long jump. She is ranked 36th in the country during 2023 for the 400m hurdles and is the current silver medallist in the 400m hurdles at Berkshire County Championships. Kayin coaches’ sessions on our multi-event programme.
After finishing her A-Levels, Kayin is now studying to become a sports therapist.
Lily specialises in high jump. Lily assists coaching on the multi-event sessions.
